How am I just now reading this? I liked this one even better than the first book, and I think I'm hooked on this series. The Immortal Guardians reminds me a little bit of Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series with some hints of Sherrilyn Kenyon, but it doesn't feel like an imitation and holds its own. And the audiobook narration by Kirsten Potter makes it even better! ...more

Pnr - it was a cute little romance and Ami is one my favorite heroines
Marcus is an Immortal Guardian who protects humans from vampires gone crazy. Ami is a woman with a mysterious past. Against Marcus's wishes, the leader of the Guardians makes Ami Marcus's "Second" because Marcus has been alone for too long. Before all is said and done, Ami's past comes back to haunt them.

Loved this. Marcus and Ami are great characters, and their romance is really good. The world is interesting and I'm excited to read more.
