Faefever was nowhere near as enjoyable as the last installment.
Reading Bloodfever, I was swept away by the action. Mac goes places, learns things, fights baddies, confronts would-be allies, and seems to mature at least a smidge along the way. She’s constantly on the move, so even when her Glam Mac, naïve side makes an appearance, the unfolding mysteries make her stupidity bearable..
By comparison, Faefever is utterly lacking in action. Having just finished, I’m left with the impression that Mac ...more

Okay, I'm going to say just how much I liked this book, but first I've go to go into what keeps this book (and series) from being 100% for me. It's the skeevy feeling that always seems to accompany any of Moning's male characters. Whether it be the blatantly obvious death-by-sex fae V'lane (ugh, I don't like that name either) to the massively testosterone-laden Barrons who goes from faintly intimidating to absolutely freaking ridiculous in the span of a few moments. I read this book the day it came out and have to say I was not very thrilled with it. Frankly it was a rip-off. Little character development at all. The fever story could have been told in 2 or 3 books there is a ton of filler in these books. at least 25 percent just goes over what happened in the previous books. I know what went on, I bought and read them already don't waste my time and money. It irks me!!!! I have decided not to buy the next 2, I will wait till they both are out and get from t

I liked this installment much better than the previous two. I still don't have a lot of love for Mac and Barrons but I do feel sorry for Mac in this book because of the ending. I appreciated that she and Barrons were both actively trying to help prevent the walls from falling, but I still think they should be doing more. Most days it seems like Mac just works in the bookstore, instead of really going out and progressing the storyline. I like that she is finally trying to diversify her allies, bu

I finally feel as if Mac is growing and making progress on her 'grown up' feelings. I loved the cliff hanger! I am looking forward to continuing the series.

I wonder how she's going to get out of this one?
