She is still writing very well but for me I am done with this series. It remains dark and I don't really need this much darkness this far into the series. I am sure many others would really enjoy this book though. ...more

I was looking forward to this book. I enjoy the series as a whole. However I felt more wrapped up in the dram over Jonah's daughter then any other events in the story. The two main characters Stygian and Liza talk about how happy they are to be together and how they wouldn't have missed a moment of the 'coming' together of their relationship but I felt that part was really boring nothing happens. Liza pushed Stygian away - Stygian stood par for the course. The book introduced a lot of loose ends ...more

I loved this hero. The Breed series is an autobuy for me, but I have to confess, this many books into the series I wondered how the author could continue to keep the storyline fresh. That question didn't stop me from purchasing this book as soon as it released, but it did keep the book sitting on my dresser for many, many months. I finally read it over the Thanksgiving break. I'm 27 books in to this series, and I've survived this long. Stygian and Liza story could have been done in a novella - Stygian's worth that much at least. But the storyline - searching for these 4 lost souls on Navajo land - has been dragging on for way too many books now. After a while, you skim over all of the conversations that are in repeat mode, encounter a sex scene that's also on repeat, and then do it again. Hopefully a resolution is around the corner.

I'm moving on to the next book soon

It dragged a bit too long but all the little info about other supporting characters was nice.
