First paragraph: Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the hill, and of having no Biters to shoot. Once or twice she peeped through her sniper rifle's scope, but could see no targets. 'What is the use of an ambush', thought Alice, 'without any Biters to shoot in the head?'

Shelves: did-not-finish

I tried to give this one a chance, but couldn't force my way through anymore after about 25% of the book. I found it to be repetitive - one paragraph would paraphrase the one above it and similar scenes over and over (lots of running through dark tunnels) - and couldn't get into the charaters.

Also, while I'm all for an end of the world scenario, I'm over the whole humans are greedy bastards and have ruined everything with their lack of understanding premise - it's been done to death. ...more
