I don't like YA romance, I really don't. But this is the Alien Huntress series, and this is Gena Showalter, and this worked for me.
Phoenix Germaine was cool, her teenage romance with Ryan okay. Actually, I would have preferred had this stayed more focused on the action - the training, the aliens, the AIR team, and less on the romance.

This is a great young adult novel. It follows along with the Adult Alien Huntress series and is very well written.
Even as a YA series, it still gets a little steamy and raises the heat. I enjoyed this book and suggest that it is safe for ages 13+

I liked it. Not sure if I liked enough to read #2. I highly recommend her adult Alien Huntress series- I liked the 2 I've so far much better....
