There were some real glimmers of Hamilton's storytelling skills evident in Hit List from her earlier books and then it all fell apart when the Mother Of All Darkness is banished in barely more than a few paragraphs.

Another good book by Laurell although I was disappointed not to see any of Anita's regulars in this book. I love Jean Claude, Nataniel, Jason, Truth, Wicked and some of the others so I was surprised not to even get a glimpse of them in this book. I know some people have got tired of all the sex and stuff but that is what I have come to expect from Anita and when I don't get that it leaves me feeling not completely satisfied.

Loved Anita up to Obsidian Butterfly, after that it was pretty much downhill. This one has a few issues, mainly it needs some editing. A thesaurus is a great tool to have. Some of the conversations are stilted and poorly constructed. The story drags. Will try to finish it, but 100 pages in and I am already bored.
