I was very much looking forward to Tiger's story from reading the other books in this series. He was a great hero--a gentle giant, steadfast, and sweet. He is a warrior of course but we see the man who longs for connections. Those heros are always my favorites because they embrace the love and work to make a new life.

The heroine is smart and funny and open minded. She has a past with abandonment she deals with and has only realistic angst around it.

As always in this series, the supporting cast

A book away from an episode of hoarders
Five years ago, the first book of this series was a Book of the Month read. It sounded interesting and it was available at my library. I had no idea at the time that in less than 24 hours I would be so invested in this world.

I love the group of Shifters that inhabit it. I'm all indignant on their behalf that they are treated like second class citizens. Everything from having to live in Shiftertowns, the collars they are forced to wear, and the luxuries that they can't have because they're not hu

This is the 5th book in Jennifer's Shifter's Unbound series and it's definitely one for the keeper shelf! Tiger is different from the other shifters and not just because of his origins. The normal rules and magic that explain the existence of Shifters don't apply to him, this novel isn't just about him finding his other half it's also a journey of self discovery. Carly was an interesting addition to the series, I liked how strong she was yet still feminine. Her growing relationship with Tiger an ...more

I'm never disappointed with Jennifer Ashley's books, keep hoping that they will come out sooner still. Tiger can aptly be tagged as a tortured hero since he was created and experimented in a lab. After being rescued he is relocated to the Austin shiftertown where he tries to fit in. Since he is a man made shifter, no one really trust him aside from the cubs.

I always loved the way the author could portrait social outcast, second class citizen and still paint a loving, caring community under all t

I do love a Jennifer Ashley book about shifters and the characters from Shiftertown are great to read about.
This is a book about a shifter called Tiger (I don't think I have to explain what he changes into) and Tiger has had a hard life so far as he has been kept in captivity for most of his life. When he meets Carly, a human, his life changes and it's great to read about.
I really liked Tiger as a character and I really enjoyed his search for an identity. Most of his views are very black and whi
