Grrr, I am now officially frustrated and have to get my hands on the next book; Cast in Sorrow. After 540 pages who would have thought this would end in a cliffhanger? Not I!! Guess I should have read the reviews before delving into this one.
Anyway, I continue to love Kaylen and the Elantran world; although I do wish that Kaylen would “grow up” a bit. She continues to behave in some ways like a child and I’m not sure if that is deliberate on Ms. Sagara’s choice or not. Could it be a remnant of K ...more

Love this series. While this is not in any way a cliffhanger, it is not as 'complete' a story as the previous books. I wouldn't be surprised to find that it was a huge volume that Harlequin split in half.
I am now glumly setting out to find out when the next one will be published--grimly resigned to the fact that it will probably be out over a year from now.
