Lots of action, good mystery, learned about Morganville back story and got to know some of the characters better.

These are very much YA books and this may be why although the concept is good I don't really enjoy the style of writing. Young, intelligent Clare constantly finds herself in difficult, scary situations she and her three friends react to crisis rather than sitting and planning the next move. Saying that, I have read two of this series and the four YPs are surrounded by people who are killed whilst also coping with vampires and their friend Michael who is not of this world

This was my favorite of the series thus far. Claire is getting more gutsy. Lots happens but not much I can say without giving out spoilers. And there was yet another cliff hanger ending. And this time it was a doozie.
