Gelatinous vampire goo. Gelatinous vampire goo. I can't get over it. This is so...wrong. I'm hoping this new enemy is part of Caine's endgame. We've had 11 books and perhaps she's running out of ideas even though the final book, #15 is due out in November 2013. It certainly feels like the end run.

I'd been concerned that this series was losing steam. Perhaps that's why I waited so long to get back into it.
But Ms. Caine made sure to shake things up in this installment, introducing an outside threat that's ruthless and foreign, deadly to both vampires and humans. The enemy is creepy as hell, calling up that chill fear of being watched by unseen eyes harbouring malicious intent.

The newest conflict in Morganville is dividing the vampire and human residents even more than usual. Eve and Michael have announced their engagement and it seems few locals are impressed by the possiblity of a mixed race marriage. Hidden in the background, vampires are disappearing from Morganville and Claire suspects that it has something to do with the mysterious newcomer Magnus. But soon Claire is forced to question the possibility that something out there preys on vampires.

Are you a fan of Rachel Caine's Vampire series Morganville ? The town where once you enter , the only way to leave is in a body bag or under the rarest of moments with allowance from the founder Amelie. Wow , I so did not expect the twists and turns in Last Breath , but one thing I can say for sure is readers that Rachel Caine does not disappoint with Last Breath. As those can recall , in Book #10 Bite Club - Rachel tried something new with the story alternating from Shane's POV and other charac

Another fab book in the Morganville Vampires. A new threat to the residents, causing choas. Vampires are going missing, Claire's feeling vulnerable and the impending engagement party isn't making anyone feel better.
I love the characters in this book Claire, Shane, Eve, Michael and Myrnin et al.
Really looking forward to the next one ...more

The only thing I hated about this book was the cliffhanger ending. I absolutely LOVE this series, but I just wish Rachel Caine wouldn't end each book (or almost all of them) in an annoying cliffhanger.

Love this series, always a lot going on without being too rushed. Feels like the series is wrapping up, hopefully it ends on a happy note for once! Liked the "baddies" in this, interesting.
