The one star review obviously doesn't represent the majority of the readers. So i guess I've outgrown this genre.

Reading this was a struggle. I didn't feel anything towards Raphael and Elena other than boredom and a slight disgust.

To me angels' rule that were describe in this book is not unlike what would happen if Nazi won the WWII. ALL the angels are monstrous, sadist, and can kill without any second thought. They have no regards for human's nor vampire's life. Vampires are their slaves and ...more

Not as good as ANGELS BLOOD. I thought this was supposed to be more urban fantasy than paranormal romance? THis moved so slowly until the end then it went to fast. There were many pacing problems with this one. It was like she didn't have much to fill this book, so she just kept throwing in sex scenes. Oh I'm sorry they were just teases. Raphael would go so far then say Elena was too weak and stop. Then we would have more scenes of Elena training then more foreplay, then training then foreplay, ...more

In this second part of her story Elena learns the ropes of her new reality, while she recovers from the last book's events and gets immersed into Raphael's world, with its intrigue and ruthless, power-hungry beings.

The author tends to repeat certain phrases and that gets a bit tiring, but her stories are usually full of imagination and intriguing characters that make reading her books very enjoyable.

The audiobook was just as good as the first one and I'm looking forward to listening to Archangel ...more

I remember really loving the first book in this series, but maybe I waited too long to get back into it. I couldn't keep all of the characters straight and I had a hard time getting back into the world. The action was exciting but I wasn't fully invested in the story and didn't care for the characters as much as I would have liked. Not sure if I will continue with the series. ...more
