Another great instalment in this series. Still miss Kisten, and dont think Marshall is a substitute, luckily. Excited to see where Rachel goes from here.

Another fabulous installment in the series, even though it has been six months since I read 1-5 (library has been slow getting them in) I was right back in the story from the first few pages. Rachel continues to struggle with doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. She is missing Kisten, still searching for that elusive balance with Ivy and now Al has broken his word and want's her and all she loves, dead. As is her way, Rachel puts herself at risk to protect them all.

Shelves: magic, female-lead, shady-government-agency, urban-fantasy, weres-and-shifters, fae, vampires, witches-warlocks-and-mages, pi-detective-cop

Loved this one! The characters have grown and matured and I think the story is better for it. The action was fast-paced and Al was out for blood. Big surprises and lots of setup for the future galore! Loved seeing Trent and Rachel work together, even if what they found out will have been consequences in their personal lives.

Once again another great book from Kim Harrison. I even had to take it to the movies with me so that I could finish it - before the movie started, of course. I look forward to seeing what comes next in the series. I feel that this book had a bit more character development in it than some of the others and less action, but I still enjoyed it (obviously :-))

Rachel kicks butt and takes names again. She founds out things that she never knew about her "life". She also has Al gunning for her again. But somehow she gets through it all in Rachel style and while not on top she isn't on the bottom either. ...more
