If I tell you that this book had magic, zombies and early 20th century technology, I'm sure your reaction will be: WTH? But believe it or not, the author managed to create a cohesive world that seamlessly mixes all these elements in a way that makes sense.

Love this book!
Update February 2019: Just as fun as when I read it the first time. This time I listened. Tim Curry is an excellent narrator, although his female voices could be better.

How much you like a story depends a lot on mood and timing and this book was, unfortunately, a perfect example of bad timing.
I had first started listening to the audiobook in May, but, even though the story is perfectly okay, I just couldn't get into it.
