I am in love with this series. Everything about it, as a vampire novel, is perfect. A book where humans are actually afraid of vampires, where vampires are vicious, cold and think of humans only as pawns and food bags is a perfect one for me.
This whole book is so original, the idea of a town controlled by vampires, where humans are trapped and have to abide by the vampires' rules.

15 pages in and I put it down. I didn't really have high hopes to begin with considering it's a YA vampire series, but the writing was just shallow. The author describes absolutely nothing apart from the "Monickettes'" spray tanned, Victoria Secret model-esque bodies, and the exposition was handled clumsily in a few rushed, consecutive paragraphs. For all I know, it could have a seriously epic story later on, but not even that could save it from the mediocre writing style. ...more

This is the first in a series set in a town ruled by some very evil vampires. Has interesting young protag and characters (including a fascinating ghost). Look forward to more in the series
