Going back into V.E. Schwab's backlist, and I absolutely loved this one! (I actually totally forgot that she had written Addie LaRue when I started this, so I went in with zero expectations, and ended up very pleasantly surprised!)

Synopsis: Victor and Eli are college roommates, who decide to take a science experiment to the limits of life and death. Ten years later, Victor has escaped from prison and is hunting down his former best friend, intent on getting revenge.
