I've never actually thought about it before, but I realized that mysteries are about the journey for me and not the destination. I love reading about motives and interpersonal connections and conflicts, more than I care about figuring out who the culprit is. I mean, I enjoy both types of stories, but characters have always been more important to me than plot, and this book is filled with such interesting characters! I love it!

Objectively, I know that all the threads tied together a bit too cleanly and conveniently in the end. And that the ending itself could have used another 30 pages or so to sort through the wreckage that occurs.
But all that aside, this is the book I wanted on a cold winter weekend curled up under my cat & blanket with a mug of honey tea. The shifting POVs were a fun way to slowly onion-peel bac ...more

3.5 I'm not sure I would have enjoyed reading this book as much as I did listening to it. Such a suspenseful, exciting audiobook!
