Summer 2021 (August);

I really quite loved this book.

The writing is smooth, lyrical, and so well bandied about in every mood. I love the deal that is struck between The Dark and Addie, and all the repercussions that are made to fall out from it (and especially that it's impossible to work around them). I love the clear message about 'the power beyond an idea' being sometimes more powerful than anything specific and set in stone. By the end I found myself wondering what this book says about the nature of love. Might be a good book club choice, if you can handle all of the fantasy elements.

Harsh take on love

But a great take on immortality. I am jaded on love stories but this was a fresh take on living forever. I liked her learning to always let go, to take without keeping.
