What the River Knows is an immersive historical fantasy setting in Egypt. A rival to lovers romance, and a dangerous race to uncover the truth about Inez's parent's disappearance.
What the River Knows provides an adventurous, emotional, and mysterious read that kept me turning the pages.
It is a novel that everything unfolds to the reader at the same time as Inez. There are so many twists and turns, and you don't know who to trust even after you read the last page.

There was just way too much going on here. It felt like every plot idea was thrown in, and it was a bit of a mess. Also, the story isn't complete--it's a series, or at least a duology. I didn't like it well enough to want to continue. ...more

I have a soft spot for rebellious women. Inez fits this perfectly. I love how resourceful and headstrong she is. Her relationship with Whit was interesting. I'm not entirely sure what's going on there, especially after that ending. She wants to believe the best in people and she so desperately wants to be loved, and unfortunately for her that makes her an easy mark for anyone with less than honorable intentions. Looking forward to finding out how this resolves and to getting justice for Elvira. ...more
