What Members Thought

As soon as this book started it was ON. It continued to be ON through the entire book. Never once settling down too long. Always go go go. And I loved it!

3.5 stars. Decent story, but confusing at points and there were many times that I wanted to shake Cassie.

Likes:
* Aliens come and it is not E.T. or Close Encounters
* POVs change with each part
* Interesting how the stories of each character weave together

This book was really amazing and deserves more than five stars. It is a crazy dystopian/alien invasion/sci-fi novel that had me hooked from page one. The alien invasion story line reminded me a little of "The Host" with aliens looking human, and there were some similarities with the theme of the humans trying to hold on to their humanity, but "The 5th Wave" took the idea to an entirely different level.'

I loved the writing style and the different narratives. I would get totally sucked into one na

I love this book! I love it! I love it!

I am so fangirling over this book! Cassie and Evan! <3

I'm sorry I can't write a coherent review right now, I stayed up until 5.15am this morning so I could finish this book. Lack of sleep plus all the feels!

Can't wait for the next book! September!!

Why, why must all dystopias come with love triangles?!?! It's not coming until book two, and it might be a quadrangle, but it's there casting its cliched gloom over a perfectly good book. Boooo!

Other than that, this was a fun read. I loved the twists and turns of this book, and the pacing of action and quieter moments. It seemed as though Yancey made a decision to write his characters against stereotypes with the girls being tough and gritty, and the boys showing a refreshing amount of sensitivi

I don't read much sci-fi, and I'm pretty sure I've never read an alien book, so I don't have much to compare this to. I was totally involved in the story, and couldn't decide which character I liked best as all of the primary characters were distinctively drawn and sympathetic in their own way. I'll definitely read on.
