Yeah, I read it before seeing the movie! I've wanted to read this dark adventure for a while, and I was not disappointed. The story goes from 0 to 110 miles per hour in about 2 pages and the pace continues at breakneck pace, only to suddenly down shift and coast on suspense before accelerating into another crisis.

After a brief prologue, the reader is tossed into the After Invasion Cassie. We meet the Before Invasion Cassie through well-done flashbacks. The After Invasion version is as strong and ...more

I keep going back and forth if I want to give this a 4.5 (4 stars) or a 4.5 (5 stars).

Like I don't think I have ever been so confused sometimes? Like....wait....how many people have we met so far? HOW MANY POVs???? But then they started to combine and I was confused where they combined and where they didn't and who all was still dangling.

I went with 5 because it kept surprising me, there were characters I was interested in, and it actually made me laugh in the middle of reading about an extreme ...more
