My first Agatha Christie! Amazing reviews abound, so I'll just add my observations:
- For some reason I thought Christie novels would be super literary, but the language is simple. I see why they get low Lexile scores now.
- The ending is great, as you would expect.
...I guess that's it.
I don't read many mysteries so I don't feel like I can put this book into context... I may have to read a few more before I can discuss them properly. ...more

This one is definitely among my favorite of Agatha Christie's novels. I love how it is all explained at the end.

I understand why this is so popular, it is short, an addictive plot and a mystery. It has the obvious preconceptions of the time of natives as non sentients beings that is so common in the 1800 literature works. I´m afraid that I´ve read and seen so much of this genre now that the ending wasnt that surprising, still worth it though.
