Jfc I have been waiting for long to read this until I practically forgot the moment I was able to bought a copy. Talk about memory issues. I have only started binge-reading the series to be able to catch up for the upcoming release (or is it released already? fml) of book 4.

Behind These Blue Eyes was like the aftermath of a reading marathon, in my personal experience. I get involved and immersed in my reading that sometimes I lost track of time irl and...basically everything and everyone else.

I get involved and immersed in my reading that sometimes I lost track of time irl and...basically everything and everyone else. Thus, whenever I get back to reality or whenever i stop my binge, I get so disoriented and stressed af.

Blue and her friends were in a similar situation, kind of. Imagine being affected so much from an adventure, to an extent that they did discover a whole new world and experienced loss like nothing before, it surely would get challenging to get back to what was usual before.

I don't want to take away reprieve from the other characters esp being so disconcerted and dispirited from the incident in book 1. But I would like to give a shout out to Blue for being courageous to initiate the confrontations from her friends. Of course, it wasn't as simple or as easy as I had put it. For one, deep inside her, Blue still thought she's the one to blame for the whole adventure-gone-wrong thing. Second, technically, she was the newbie of the group, an outsider through and through. So glad she was able to resolve things eventually in the novella.

As for the aspect of the reverse harem, I had been searching for a scenario wherein the guys would have to give themselves up (expose themselves to vulnerabilities or be the selfless ones for a change) for the heroine's benefit. The guys being considered as Blue's love interests weren't friends nor acquaintances whatsoever. And that's the type of reverse harem that I would like to get my hands into and would like to dissect for research purposes. Ha! But you get what I mean. /rubs both hands together
