Witches, werewolves, rock-stars, and a Reverse Harem, I couldn't have asked for anything more!!!!!
So we have Darcy the self-exiled witch, and then we meet the yummy yummy werewolves of Phoenixcry....
WOW, I so want one of each...
I can't wait for the next book because I really want to see Eli loose his cool, and man oh man it's gonna be hot when him and Darcy finally take it to the sheets, backstage, the green room, up against a wall, grass, up against the van, well ya know what I mean...!!!

Story: I really liked this story. The main character bugged me off and on. 3 of the guys were great! Finn, Ace, and Charlie were great. I had high hopes for Cash but he let me down. Elias I just don't have a good sense of him yet. The end was a bit of a let down for me. I understand why Darcy is doing what she's doing but I just don't know how I feel about it. And yet again, Cash let me down.

Darcy is a poser. She's posing as a mundane- a normal, non magical, ordinary human being. She is drawn to music. It's her calling. Finishing up her college degree she puts in to be an intern to get her foot in the door. Little does she know that the band she agrees to take on is more than the average human males they appear. How was she supposed to know that wolves were musicians?

I'm not sure what to think about this one. It was ok. So. Much. Drama. Though. Really. It was on Drama

I'm not sure what to think about this one. It was ok. So. Much. Drama. Though. Really. It was on again, off again, hot and cold. And I feel like I have reader's whiplash from reading this. Darcy is supposed to be hiding but tells her dorm mate everything. Then she quits, twice, her internship before ever going on tour. That's not professional and not a single label or professor would forgive her. Or take her back. Yes, I know this is fiction but come on. Suspending reality for werewolf rock bands and witch's councils is one thing, forgiving professors and patient employers is beyond the realm of the paranormal. Cash per diems? Trusting an intern, on her first tour, to make correct deposits? Like they would really trust her with banking info? Maybe I'm nit picking here but it's keeping me from tearing apart the "romance" angle of this story. Which mostly involves 5 guys alternately stalking or ignoring her (depending on which guy). The "romance" also is her fluctuating between telling them off, pushing them away, and then pulling them in for kisses. See what I mean about the hot and cold? How are they supposed to read signals when one minute she's "put on the brakes" and the next she's grabbing a shirt? I'm confused, let alone the poor shmucks trying to win her affection. Add in her back story of hating the council, her family, never wanting anything to do with them again...and then calling this supposed friend she left behind. The younger sister of the guy who's the reason she left that world behind. That she hasn't talked to for years but calls out of the blue and then runs to. Oh, and let's not forget the creepy stalker guy from the other band they're touring with. Yes, every story needs a villain. But we've already got hunters, bad witches, snarky merch girls, hateful fan girls of the creepy guy, we need to add in a creep who stalks her. Darcy is altogether too willing to run. A couple times in TSTL ways. Maybe she grows a backbone in book 2.
