This was one of those books I just couldn't put down. Some minor slow parts, some proofing errors, but overall the characterization is great, I care what happens. And I have a theory I'm itching to find out whether it's right or not. ...more

I have such mixed feelings about Lexi. I find her annoying and immature. I also find her a bit needy. She pretends to be this bad ass, but she is only a bad ass when she has the guys to back her up. I feel like she isn't being her real self. Like she is trying to pretend to be someone.
I don't hate Dylan either. I get it-she has these 5 guy friends who she spends SO much time with, she has these crazy 'seizures' that cause massive bleeding and stuff, and she has an anger management problem. So, ...more

No, the entire book is not about mean girlfriends. Thank goodness! But, because they don't know what Lexie really deals with, the things they do have unforseen consequences. Trigger warnings for rape and sexual assault. This may be seen as a big spoiler, but I look out for the more sensitive readers. Lexie is attacked by a ghost who forces her to relive his crimes against women. It isn't detailed, but it causes her to have nightmares and since the word is used, it's worth noting for readers sensitive to the subject. Lexie was left vulnerable due to one of the girlfriend's jealousy. She saw her have a "seizure" and left her there. Not knowing what it really was, doesn't mean she's excused, because leaving a person to seize and not seeking medical help is just as awful. And, no, not all the guys date mean girls. But the focus of this book is really on all relationships. Lexie's relationship with the guys. Them with each other, and branching out into dating around their lives with Lexie in it- a new variable. Her relationship with Dylan. Her relationship with her family. Bonds are formed and broken or fractured, and while a book about teens dating, in the middle of a paranormal series seems silly, the background is what matters. It's setting a stage, setting boundaries, setting down roots. It shows what each is willing to tolerate, not tolerate, and how they'll deal with it. So, while face value seems odd, the heart of it (pun intended) is the true story. ...more

Wow this series is too fucking good!!! I love it! I need book 3 right now! And 4, 5, 6...... I can't wait! I'm just so curious to know what will happen next. I'm so excited!
I love love love Asher! Oh my god he's so swoon worthy!!! I am totally, insanely, in love with him! And I'm not even a bit ashamed that I'm like 15 years older. He is my favorite of the guys. I like 'em all, but Asher totally has my heart. He's so sweet, cute, protective, hot... I can't resist, sorry!

I was initially disappointed that all of the guys had somehow acquired girlfriends and Lexie herself was now dating Dylan. It is supposed to be RH after all. It all changed a bit too rapidly at the end because I didn't really see how or why the guy's feelings had changed for Lexie. I would have liked to see more conflicting emotions when they were around her that would have indicated a developing romantic interest. It just seems like they went from seeing her as a little sister to a potential GF ...more

I think this book in one of my favorite books of all time. This series definitely is. This book was the one I was most worried about when I started the series. I shouldn't have worried. This book dragged me through a journey. I felt the characters grow and I felt for the every step of the way. This book made me ugly cry ( In the best way possible), laugh and cry laugh (something that I don't normally do). I am so looking forward to continuing this journey. ...more
