Story: This was pretty good for the first book of a series. I was very creeped out by the way that almost everyone reacted to Eva. It was weird. And even with everything Eva went through growing up, she wasn't more wary of people. Like how do you not know that people are psycho given how you grew up?! I will continue, not sure why.

I really enjoyed reading Eva's story and watching her come out of her shell as she discovers the world around her that has been kept from her for too long. The character development was on point and I enjoyed the backstory that was placed around the story in such a way that it was effortless to keep up. She's been through some stuff be she's not really jaded and I really like that about her. It's made her smarter but it's not destroyed her. This is a strong first book and I can't wait to read mo
