Jane wants a break away from Leo, Master of the City of New Orleans, and accepts a job from Hieronymus, the MOC of Natchez, whose boss is Leo.

The Big H has a problem with Naturaleza vampires, kidnapping, draining and killing people. He wants Jane to come and deal with them. But he doesn't tell her some important information.

Jane brings Eli & Alex Younger with her as back-up and soon enough Rick & Psyled arrive when the bodies start turning up. Even Bruiser turns up to help and he is no longer bo ...more

I really like this series but man am I sick to death of Jane's "weaponing up". All it does is add unnecessary pages to the book. Jane does this at least 5 times per book with 2-3 pages each time. And why do we have to get the names and "qualities" of each and every damn gun? It's a gun - get on with it already!

Okay rant over. In this one Jane (and Eli and Alex Younger) travel to Mississippi to hunt Naturaleze vampires - the kind that kill humans. Of course, Jane isn't given all the required info ...more
