I love Gena Showalter (well I used to anyway) and I hate zombies however, zombies in Wonderland might have been cool. Unfortunately what I expected was not was I got (idiot teenagers and plenty of gossip about people I couldn't care less about). This is the reason I've scaled back on YA novels, I just can't take the angst for no reason other than they are teenagers. Silly me. I really, really thought this book was going to be different.

Shelves: kindle, ya, zombies

First off, this isn't a retelling of Alice in Wonderland. It is a teen UF story with strange zombies, a MC named Alice (who goes by Ali) and some rabbit shaped clouds.

What I enjoyed:
* Kat - she was an awesome best friend and her interactions with Frosty were fun
* Ali - wow she had about the worst birthday in history. I'm amazed she could make herself get out of bed, much less go to school and eventually fight "zombies"
* the stakes are real (there is death of characters)
