Biting Cold is the sixth instalment of the Chicagoland Vampires a series which has lost its way a little from the brilliant beginning.
At the start of Biting Cold the cliffhanger concerning Ethan has been sort of resolved and the clean up of Mallory's big magic mistake takes centre field. I'm one of those who love/hate this series. As I'm reading I wonder why the heck I'm reading this drivel again but by the end of the book I'm invested once again. I have serious issues with the whole Merit/Ethan relationship. I'm sick and tired of Ethan's stalling and it's too dangerous to be together BS. BTW, spoilers for previous books in the series...

So Ethan is back and he and Merit are chasing Mallory in Nebraska. I couldn't believe Ethan came up with another excuse, poor Merit. I like the characters and was happy to see that (view spoiler). I looking forward to seeing what changes the decision at the end lead to, it should be pretty interesting.
