I liked this, but I would have liked it so much better if it weren't for the fact that it took FOREVER for Faythe to grow up and put on her big girl panties. For someone who thought she was so strong and could take care of herself, she really had no clue! It was so annoying to watch her constant selfishness but others in danger. And even worse was that the male cats just ate that crap up!

With female werecats disappearing, Faythe, the independent daughter of a Pride leader is called home by her father. Faythe doesn't do well with captivity and being close to her ex definitely doesn't help. Unfortunately for Faythe thier stray problem isn't going away, but is escalating and her headstrong ways land her right in the middle of their problem. Another book that has been on my TBR for ages and a different take on shifters - were cats.
I enjoyed the premise of the were-cats and the hierarchy and mythology was well explained but the lead female character was just a little too immature for me. Yes, she had valid reasons to baulk at her defined role in the were-cat culture but when lives were in danger her actions for a supposedly intelligent girl drifted into the TSTL category.
3.5 stars.
