Talk about a roller-coaster ride. The action never stops, and by the time the book is done, I felt tired and worn-out.

The book opens with Cassie on the search for the Codex Merlini which supposedly contains a spell that can undo the geis. She is on a time crunch, and she needs the solution before Mircea goes mad with the suffering brought about by the incomplete binding. Loved this action packed story.

Cass is looking for the Codex Merlini, to remove the geis that Mircea placed on her. Only problem, so is everybody else, cause it also holds a spell of ultimate power. So Cass is time hopping and meeting up with Pritkin and Mircea and they are either for her or against her depending on when they meet.

Cass becomes more the Pythia as the story goes along and meets up with the most surprising bad dude who can't seem to get her name right.
