Good sequel. Nice weaving of Greek mythology. Fun story with some character growth. Loved the addition of Tyson the cyclops who was so young and innocent. (view spoiler)

Percy is attacked at school and then goes to Camp Half-Blood only to find it under attack. Thalia's tree has been poisoned and he and friends go after the golden fleece and to rescue his friend Grover in the midst of the Sea of Monsters. Mixing mythology and the current day, this adventure is fast paced and fun and I totally enjoyed it

This was really cute. I didn't love it like I did the first one, but it was a great addition to the series. I liked seeing Percy grow into his role of half-blood.
I thought the adventure was great, the story was interesting, and I really enjoyed revisiting the mythology of it all.
I really look forward to reading the next book in the series. ...more

A fun, adventure filled, action packed read. Truly enjoyable. All characters were lovable (even the annoying ones :)). Loving the ending so will definitely pick up the next one.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the new take on greek mythology, but became a bit annoyed at the way the gods and goddesses abandoned their children. I was also captivated by the adventures that Percy and his friends Annabeth and Grover have. I was hooked on that first book and read the entire series in a week.
