What Members Thought
The only thing I liked in High Stakes was Brittany and Corbin. The only reason I continued this series was to read about their HEA. Unfortunately it's a dud. It's a pregnancy reality show not a vampire romance. This story seriously got on my nerves. There was no romance between Brittany and Corbin. They had one encounter (sex within 5 minutes of meeting each other) and then nothing for 8 weeks! Not even a phone call. Brittany finds out she's pregnant and goes crying to Corbin. They have another

This is a nice, light paranormal series. Corbin was a bit annoying with trying to shelter Brittany all the time, but I guess that what you get with a couple hundred year old vampire. Nice to see more of Alexis and Ethan and to finally have the presidential race finished. I was very disappointed in Ringo and Kelsey's storyline.
