I adored this book. It is the first time I have read anything from Sue Monk Kidd and would definitely read other books she has written.
You were drawn into this book and it's characters. There were different stories within the story, segretation and injustice mixed in with racial tension; the story of beekeeping; sisterhood, religious beliefs, grief, love and loss and much more.

I've resisted reading this book since it came out in 2011. I'm not a fan of most popular fiction, but I heard Brené Brown raving about it on her podcast so I thought I'd give it a go.
I listened to the Audible version. The narration was wonderful. Jenna Lamia's portrayal of a 14-year-old girl from the deep south was spot on.
