Wow... I wasn't thrilled at first, learning that this would be Amun's story: I mean, he's cute and all, but he wasn't really a main character in the previous books. And Haidee? well, I thought she'd end up with Strider. I was wrong. Amun was amazing! So sexy and sweet and determined to be with Haidee. And the ending? tears in my eyes!! They were the sweetest couple! Probably the only one in the series who right away admits they want to be together, which I loved!

I loved all the other books in this series but this one was just boring. I just didn't feel any connection between Amun and Haidee. Their time in hell was tedious and torturous to read. Larissa Ione did this scene much better in Reaver. Honestly I couldn't even read the sex scenes, they were just too trite. I love you no I love you more. blah blah blah The ending was to pat and convenient. Definitely my least favorite of the LOTU series. Here's hoping The Darkest Surrender will get back on track ...more
