What Members Thought

Deadlocked is the twelfth instalment of the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampires series and really is an example of a series which is due to be completed. Somehow the magic of the earlier books of this series is missing for me and I found a lot of the middle section of the book somewhat tedious. I will say though the final chapters and the resolution of the Cluvial Dor are interesting and set up some intriging questions to be answered in the final book, Dead Ever After to be released in May 2013.

I felt that the last few books have lost the plot a little. That is, the raunchy factor were sky-rocketed that plot was a bare minimum. Therefore, I wasn’t super keen to pick this up when it was released. I was going to wait for the next & final instalment so I could read one after the other without waiting too long but…

Great series for the most part. Sookie is generally fun to read, though she does do things sometimes that make you want to shake her a little bit.
