Shelves: canadian-authors, 50-book-challenge-2011

I can see why this book is considered one of his best. It suits his writing style and personality as an author. It takes place on a university campas and concerns some of the teachers at the university. This reflects Davies background as a 20 plus year professor at the University of Toronto. As usual his character development is excellent. Parlabane is memorable as the major mover of the plotline. The information presented about gypsies is highly interesting as well.
