I loved the premise of Firelight. In a paranormal market that is inundated with stories of vampires and werewolves (not that those stories aren't great), it was refreshing to see a book about dragons. Sophie creates a wonderful world, drawing the reading in and weaving fantasy and magic into believable situations. I wish that we had learned more about the draki, their culture, and their talents, but this leaves something else to look forward to in the sequel.

I'm sensing a pattern with the books I've been reading lately, They are all exceptional. Sophie brings her A-game in Firelight. I read the book in a matter of less than 2 days again. Sophie introduces us to a new world of Dragons, they are called Draki. Draki are descendant from the Dragons from long ago, they live an average of 200 years and can change into human form. The way Sophie wrote these new mythological creatures was brilliant! I was immediately captivated by the story, how it starts w

Holy Moly! This book is so hott is make me want to manifest. From the very first page I was stunned. I love this book and the whole plot. Everything was alive, juicy, and just overflowing with non-stop goodness.
Jacinda, I loved her. She is so strong yet sacrificed everything she could to help out her family. The drama, plot everything was just amazing to read.

Wow this book was awesome! I've heard it was really good but kept putting it off. Now I'm glad I did because I don't have to wait for the sequels!
For me my favorite part of the book was just the mythology with the Draki's, they're so unique and different from other characters in YA literature. There were some parts that made it seem like a Twilight knock-off, but this book definitely stands on it's own very well! The characters were well written and the world was beautiful. Not a real dragon fan, but what kept me reading was the mystery behind Will. Did not like the relationship within Jacinda's family and her mother wanting her to become a different person.
