3 stars – Historical Romance
I loved this book in the end. I have one main complaint: it feels like two different books. The first feels more like a duke-and-housekeeper romance than the sort of search for justice it becomes. But in a way, you need the first part to understand how Alastair pulls himself together for the second part.
But Olivia is amazing. She's one of my favorite heroines. She's so strong and capable. And I read this before That Scandalous Summer, so I have nothing but love for Alastair. ...more
