This is a rather odd reunion romance about a married couple who've been separated for 9 years due to immaturity, ego, lies, infidelity, misunderstandings, pride, jealousy, and betrayals but suddenly find themselves obsessed and in love with each other like a couple of giddy, infatuated teenagers. EJ's Desperate Duchesses series just keeps getting better and better. I had high expectations for this one since I have been a faithful Jeli (Jemma/Elijah fan) since the first book, and TDOM surpassed my expectations. It is James at her best. Jemma and Elijah's love story moved me to laughter and tears, and Villers' story becomes even more intriguing. And I have it on good authority that his story, A Duke of Her Own, is even better than TDOM. I am impatiently waiting for it.

I have been waiting to hear the story of Jemma and Elijah and I was not disappointed. While I am hard pressed to give a book 4 or 5 stars, I felt that this was a solid 4-4.5 stars. This book did not disappoint me as I felt the book had a solid build up of the story. Granted I think that reading the books in order also gives more way to the back story as you see pieces of their relationship and how they were compared to how they want to be.
