What Members Thought

Good romance all around. Had a few twists and turns to make it a little unconventional. I really liked Henry's personality and it's refreshing when you read a lot of romances with boring typical Victorian era women! I also liked the Guardian aspect. I haven't read a book yet where the guardian falls in love with his ward. Shocking I know, considering all the romance books I read. Anyway, great third story in the Splendid trilogy. 2.5-3 stars - Historical Romance

At the beginning I really liked this book because Henry was independent and strong, but after she meets Dunford she turns into a complete fool. No, I don't mean the kind of fool for love, I mean a rather stupid and completely weak girl. The book was very cute, but I would have liked it better if they would not have kept so many secrets from each other, this way neither would have acted like such idiots.
