Hart of Darkness? Not so much.
This book has to include the most tepid dark and dangerous sexual secret ever. I don't recall exactly how Hart was portrayed in the previous books, but I think he was a lot scarier a guy than this.

I also felt like she gave Ian such a big role in this book because his book was such a hit and she was trying to relive the glory days.

But all that being said, I liked the book and enjoyed spending more time with the Mackenzies.

This is my favorite of the MacKenzie brothers books so far. Hart is the eldest and, therefore, the duke. He is hard and driven. He's had a difficult life. Their evil father used to beat him when he was younger. Alot of those beatings he took on behalf of his brothers. He has spent his life making sure they were safe and generally taking care of them.

I love the Mackenzies so it's no surprise that Hart's chance at HEA with Eleanor was a great read. Hart spends his life with manipulating the world around him. A nasty trait that backfired on him the first time he found love with Eleanor. Although this is a second time around tale, enough flashbacks from their earlier relationship give a glimpse into what they're relationship was and how they've each grown as people.
