THE LADY MOST WILLING is certainly the most unique way of telling a story. With three authors with distinct writing styles, I thought reading this book would be a bit of a challenge. Initially, I had believed that there would be separate parts to this book, each showcasing a happily-ever-after. However, this story reads just like a regular novel, just with three pairings and a quicker pace.

These are three of my favorite authors so I was really looking forward to it. The entire premise was a little ridiculous, and it was hard to believe in the true love that developed over 3 days for each of the couples. I would have found it more satisfying if at least one of the couples had had a prior history, but instead they were all strangers who basically fell in love at first sight. Regardless of the absurdity, it was quite entertaining. Julia Quinn's section, in particular, had me ...more

If you enjoy love, laughter, witty banter and delightful entertainment from beginning to end then I encourage you to pick up a copy of The Lady Most Willing...
When Julia Quinn, Eloisa James and Connie Brockway get together it is, quite simply, magic.

3.5 stars - Historical Romance

The Lady Most Willing, the second “novel in three parts” on which Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, and Connie Brockway have collaborated, is part legend, part farce, and wholly delightful. It reminded me of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, a classic MGM musical from 1954, directed by Stanley Donen.
The prologue sets the tone and places the stories that are about to unroll in the realm of myth and magic. These are tales for a winter’s night, guaranteed to evoke smiles and sighs. The suggestion that these ...more

This was just so goofy and sweet - a Scottish Laird kidnaps 4 women (and one Duke) from the neighboring castle to force his nephews to pick one of the women to wed. Okay...when I write it, it doesn't sound sweet but trust me it is. And funny. And for this genre (mindless, guilty pleasure)...4 stars. Didn't know this was the second in a series - I'm going to have to read the first one!!!

I was really impressed with the way three separate authors were able to seamlessly incorporate their style of writing into the story so that the reader never notices the author had changed, only the character's storyline. All three authors are very good on their own but I was concerned that their collaboration wouldn't work so well. I am pleased to say I was wrong.
