I've enjoyed all the books in the Highland Pleasures series, starting with The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie. The MacKenzie men are simply fabulous, and I was a bit concerned when Ashley wandered a bit outside the family circle. Why was I worried? This might possibly be my favorite book of the series. Juliana is great heroine - good-hearted, good-tempered, and pretty unflappable. A regular Mary Poppins. But she's not perfect. She fears letting people down, and has an almost obsessive need for or

Another great book in the MacKenzie/ McBride series. It had romance, mystery and suspense. Poor Elliot the tortured hero. Can't wait to read about Daniel in the next book.

I feel like she could have written a better book with the same broad outlines of the plot and same characters. Too bad she wrot ...more

I am forever amazed at the creativity and talent of my favorite authors. This is another example of a very touching and unique storyline.
Elliot is back from India where he had been imprisoned and severely tortured by a caste of Indians. Through it all he had kept Juliana in his mind determined to keep her existence a secret from them. That one detail was the only thing that saved him from being totally broken. He shows up on her wedding day to prevent the wedding only to discover it wasn't neces ...more
