4 stars for the creative story but 2 stars for the telling. I considered quitting this book half way through because of the horrible language in it. I probably should have, but it was like a train-wreck i couldn't look away from. There ended up being more f-words than I could count and two sex scenes that were more descriptive than I would like. I wish the author had left that stuff out because the story was quite entertaining. As is, I don't really recommend it.

This is much more than a romantic novel. Rather it is fiction at its best. The writing is superb moving the reader through the story line with no superfluous text. The characters leap out from the page. Set towards the end of the second world war it has elements or romance, mystery and historic fiction and at times it even made me laugh.
