Overall a good book. I enjoyed the story, but felt that everything was very detailed. Maybe far too detailed. The book often lost my attention and I read a few other books while reading this one. After the first 550 pages or so it picks up and is very good, however, I didn't feel that this could make up for such a slow start. I look forward to reading some of Dostoevsky's other works. ...more
