I LOVED this book. I loved the brilliant kids who played the game and Ender as a character. I will say, the ending got me good.

This is classic and great SCIFI.

I was expecting a lot from this book. I love sci fi, and it's always on The Best Sci Fi EVUH lists, it's called a classic, people just rave about it. I don't understand why. This is a story about a child, from a child's POV, written by a teenager (well, he was 16 when he started it - I suppose he was an adult when he finished it). That means he really NAILS it from the child's POV. Really. But it also means that the adults are two-dimensional, unrealistic, and the st

I cannot remember when I first read it.
I'm guessing middle school era around 1997-1998...

These 4 stars really represent 10 stars at least.

Thanks Jake for the book, would have never read it otherwise. Fast paced and good. Reminded me a little of the Hunger Games.

This is really 4.5 stars. It was excellent. But I don't feel like it is really over, but that is okay since this is only one of 6 total novels. I'm looking forward to number 2. Kind of disappointed because I was able to figure out what was going on before the revealed it at the end. That is why it gets dinged .5 a star. ...more

Orson Card wrote a book with a brilliant plot and a lot of interesting military strategy. However, it is rather dark, and too violent for my liking. Also toward the end it reminded me of the Dune books.

The book is very absorbing, hard to put down.
