I had to read this book for a college class on satires around the world. I thought that this book was hilarious, but only after I was able to think about it for a while, and had discussed the book with the rest of the class.
Its hard to believe that Erasmus was a devote Catholic when he wrote this book, but when you turn the last page, it dawns on the reader that he was one of the most clear-sighted Catholics to ever rage against religion.
