I bought this book around the same time the movie originally came out a few years ago... I haven't gotten time to read it until this last month or so. I've watched the movie many times (and love the movie)..

Now the review for the book. Overall this book was very good. This one woman's journey trying to find the "I" in herself and find balance in her life once again after going through a horrible divorce and a rocky relationship. The book is divided into three parts. The first two had some interesting thoughts that were haphazardly explored. It was a good book to get back into reading. It was easy to read and kept you involved without having to think. this book is not as good as everyone says but it is also not as bad as everyone says.

While I didn't really feel that I could relate to the depths of despair that afflicted this woman before she set off on her journey of self-discovery, I certainly would love to be able to take a year off of life myself to do something like this. I particularly enjoyed the Italian and Indian legs of the trip. ...more
