I was very eager to read this because I wanted to see what Suzanne Collins had written before the Hunger Games series. In the end, I can understand why a lot of younger kids might really enjoy this book (and maybe the rest of the series), but I've just never been big on talking animals, with the exception of Charlotte's Web. This book is very borderline juvenile and young adult. I feel like it is aimed more at the juvenile audience than the teen or young adult audience.
