I was very intrigued at the beginning. Trying to figure out this new society and how it came about. But then it seemed to fall into the standard teenage angst.

This is a society where no ones creates; knowledge is limited and people basically have all their decisions made for them. They claim the upside is worth it, but I doubt you'd find anyone to agree.

Surprisingly good considering this is totally out of my usual comfort zone. I was intrigued with the whole premise of a new world where everything is determined by statistics and predictions. All the big decisions, of course, are arranged (such as matching for your most perfect mate, what job you have depending on your skills) as well as all the little things (like what your meal and portion size should be, even predicting who will make it to the top of the hill first in hiking "class." A lot of this book seemed very familiar to me from other dystopian books I've read, but that didn't seem to hamper my enjoyment of it at all. The young protagonist, Cassia, has always believed that everything about "the Society," was perfect, and only a supposed glitch with her "Match" to her future partner makes her begin to wonder about things. Imagine living in a world where everything is chosen for you, your clothes, your hobbies, your perfect match. Cassia's day has come for her match to be revealed anxious to see who her future husband will be, when she sees her best friend Xander pop up on the screen she finds herself mystified by the rarity of the situation and when another boy's face inhabits the screen Cassia is not sure what to do.
